2026 Practice Schedule

Swim practice is held in the mornings Monday through Friday, plus Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. Your swimmer does NOT have to attend every practice! Of course, the more practices your swimmer attends, the more quickly they will improve.

During practice, your swimmer will learn and practice proper stroke mechanics and build endurance through conditioning exercises.

New Swimmer Evaluations will be held Tuesday, May 26th at 7:00 p.m.

Morning and Evening practices begin Wednesday, May 27th.

  • 10 - 10:30 AM - 6 & Unders

Evening practices: Tuesday and Wednesday nights

  • 7 - 7:30 PM 8-unders
  • 7:30 - 8 PM - 9-10’s

How to prepare for your child’s practice time:

  • Prior to arriving for practice, write your child’s first name and last initial, and their age, on their upper left shoulder - with a Sharpie. This will help our coaching staff and volunteers to easily identify your swimmer. (You’ll need to do this every practice for the first week, as well at all swim meets). Please note, Sharpie will come off easily by rubbing sunscreen where you write their name.
  • Swimmers will line up outside the pool gates prior to practice. Please do not enter the pool deck until practice time. This is particularly important for evening practices. This allows the Town Lifeguards to finish swim lessons and prep to turn the pool over to our coaches for practice.
  • Please have your swimmer arrive ready to swim - suits on, with goggles, swim cap (if preferred), and then a towel and warm clothes for after practice.
  • If you have questions before or after practice, please see a parent volunteer - we’ll be at the pool office. Please do not approach coaching staff during practice time.
  • All non-swimmers must remain under the supervision of a parent/guardian when inside the pool.  Only swimmers on the team should be in the water during practice times. This includes small children in the baby pool. No recreational swimming is allowed during practice.
  • If a swimmer or any family member does not feel well, they should not come to practice.
  • All swimmers must be picked up after their practice time.
  • The Baby Pool is OFF limits during practice times - and during meets.
  • No swimmers or coaches should enter the pool office
  • No Running on the pool deck
  • Prevent swimmers ear - Mix equal parts white vinegar and isopropyl alcohol in a dropper bottle. Place 2-3 drops in each ear at the end of practice and meets.
