BILL CAULKINS CITY MEET JULY 10th and JULY 11th, 2026

The Chattanooga Area Swim League (CASL) is made up of 3 divisions (Blue, Red and White), 14 teams total, and at the end of the dual meet season, all 3 divisions come together for the annual Bill Caulkins Championship City Meet. Currently, we are in the Blue Division.

The City Meet is scheduled for July 10th and 11th in Fort O at the Gilbert-Stephenson Park located at 19 Van Cleve Street in Fort Oglethorpe, GA.

City Meet is such a fun experience for all swimmers and their families! The 2-day meet is broken up into 3 sessions each day, younger swimmers compete in the morning session, older swimmers compete in the afternoon session, and the top 16 in each event will return in the evening for the finals, with the exception of a handful of events that are timed finals; you can check these out below or in the attached meet file.

The Fort O pool is surrounded by a large green space which allows for teams to have designated "crash areas" outside the pool gates. We have plenty of space for families to bring pop up canopies/tents, chairs, blankets and, of course, THE FUN! Between events, swimmers will "crash" in this area until their event. Concessions are available during the meet, but we also highly encourage families to bring a cooler with snacks, drinks, and plenty of water!

When it comes to summer swim team this is the pinnacle of our season. The very best time. The very best memories. It’s a commitment you will not regret. It can be a long 2 days, but it is doable. EVERY SWIMMER CAN COMPETE AND CAN EARN POINTS FOR OUR TEAM, SO WE NEED ALL SWIMMERS, OF ALL AGES, TO SHOW UP AND SHOW OUT! You don’t want your swimmer to miss this. Will it be hot? Probably. Will it rain? Yes. Will you have random children joining you under your tent and eating your snacks? More than likely, but you won’t regret it. If you have work commitments or children in 2 sessions, buddy up. There will be plenty of Greenies families there and we all just pitch in and help with kids. It’s madness, but it works. It’s difficult to put into words what a fun, core memory making time this is for your swimmers, so we encourage you to talk to veteran families about their experiences, for their suggestions, and to answer any questions you might have (and, of course, we are happy to help in the office too). WE REALLY WANT TO SEE EVERY GREENIE SWIMMER ON DECK AT CITY MEET.

Please note, RSVPing for this meet is a bit different than Dual Meets. For this meet, you can choose the INDIVIDUAL events your child wants to swim, up to a total of 5. Additionally, each child is eligible for up to 3 relays. However, please note, relays are still assigned by the coaches. While coaches will make every effort to meet requests for relays, several factors go in to building the relays and they may be unable to honor every request.

Additionally, please note 6 and under Free and Back are on Saturday, but, on Friday, they are still eligible to swim the 8 & under IM, the 8 & under 25 Breast, the 8 and under 50 Free, and potentially the 8 & under 100 Medley Relay. If you aren’t sure rather or not to declare your 6 and under for one of these Friday events, please swing by the pool office and we will connect you to a coach help you.

    To declare:

    • Go to SwimTopia
    • Go to Upcoming Events
    • Scroll down to Bill Caulkins City Meet
    • Click on “Edit” to change “Your family swim meet status”
    • Declare your swimmer based on their eligible sessions. Bill Caulkins has “sessions” based on your swimmer’s age. SwimTopia does a great job of only letting you declare for the sessions your child is eligible for. It will state either: “Not eligible for this meet” or “Not yet signed up for this meet.” If it says, “Not eligible for this meet,” that is for the wrong age group.
    • Once you declare your swimmer for their eligible sessions, it will give you a drop-down box that allows you to pick which events they want to swim.
    • Please choose only 5 individual events, unless your child is flexible and willing to swim wherever they are needed, in which case you can pick all 6 and the coach will place them accordingly, but they will still only be swimming 5 total individual events.
    • Next, choose your relay availability. We HIGHLY encourage you to make your child available for relays, as it is truly one of the best parts of City Meet. However, when choosing your swimmer’s relay availability, please remember that 3 other swimmers are counting on your swimmer to show up. Failure to show or leaving before a relay occurs jeopardizes that swim for everyone on the relay. Not cool. Plan accordingly.
    • You still have the option for “Notes to Coach,” as well.

Deadline to RSVP is WEDNESDAY, June 24th at noon. We can NOT take any entries after the deadline! PLEASE, READ THAT LAST LINE AGAIN. Our coaches must have time to build the heat sheet out, make necessary adjustments to the entries and check for errors before we submit it to the host team. When our coaches have to scramble to add a late entry, this creates the potential for an unforeseen error with the existing line-up and is unfair to families that met the initial deadline. Please respect our coaches’ time and your fellow swim families and get those declarations in now.

    FRIDAY EVENTS (July 10th) - Mixed Free Relay, 100 IM (no 8 & U finals), 25 Breast (10 & U only), 50 Breast (no 10 & U), 50 Free (10 & U only, no finals), 100 Free (no 10 & U, no finals), Medley Relay

    SATURDAY EVENTS (July 11th) - 25 Fly (10 & U only), 50 Fly (no 10 & U), 25 Free (10 & U, no 6 & U finals), 50 Free, 25 Back (10 & U, no 6 & U finals), 50 Back, Free Relay

City Meet FEES - $20 per swimmer, with Greenies absorbing the remaining portion of each swimmer’s fees. Payment is via Venmo (@SMSC26) and is due on June 24th. Essentially, this is like a tournament fee. There are surcharges on each swimmer for the meet, for the facility and then for each event they swim (including relays).

If you have any questions or need additional information, please swing by the pool office and ask. We are here to support you. We want to make sure this is a positive experience for you and your swimmer.
